The area is served by five airports, Pisa in the south, Milan (Bergamo, Linate and Malpensa airports) in the north, and Genoa in the north-west. The most popular arrival point is Pisa which receives direct flights from Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Frankfurt, London (both Stanstead and Gatwick), Madrid, Monaco and Paris. The information given here is for cheap "no frills" airlines and is correct as far as we know but the airline business is fast-moving so do check with the carriers directly by telephone or through their websites; links are given as appropriate. Other airlines flying from your chosen airport are also shown and may be well worth checking. These properties are in Liguria near to the coast and the famous five fishing villages of the Cinque Terre. Our properties in Lunigiana are most conveniently accessed from Pisa - although there is only about 20 motorway miles difference between Pisa/Aulla (50 miles and Genoa/Aulla (68 miles). Milan (Linate) airport.Of the three airports Linate is the nearest to the city. The airport is 125 miles from Aulla, 120 of which are motorway. Car hire. Car hire companies include;
Facilities: A bank and a bureau de change are located on both the ground and first floor of the terminal; there is a post office on the ground floor and there are snack bars throughout the airport. Shopping: There are a wide range of shops throughout the airport; duty-free shops can be found in the Domestic and International Departures areas. Other facilities: First aid facilities and a pharmacy are located on the ground floor. Disabled facilities: Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available at the airport and there are lifts to all floors. Milan (Malpensa) airport.Milan (Malpensa) airport lies to the north-west of the city. The airport is 157 miles from Aulla, 150 of which are motorway. Car hire. Car hire companies are located at Terminal 1 and include;

Pisa airport.Pisa airport lies close to the A12 Rome-Genoa motorway which makes it the ideal entry airport for the Lunigiana. Only 50 motorway miles south of Aulla (the gateway to the Aullela and Taveronne valleys) it is the nearest airport to our properties in the Lunigiana hills. It has direct access to the Firenze-Pisa-Livorno dual carriageway (Pisa Centro - Aeroporto exit), to the Genova A12 motorway (Pisa Centro exit),and to the Firenze-Pisa Nord A11 motorway (through the Pisa Nord linking stretch with the A12). Facilities: On the ground floor, there are ATM's, a bank and bureau de change, open 0800-1900 Monday-Saturday, and a post office, open 0815-1300 Monday-Saturday. Eating and drinking: There is also a bar on the ground floor. On the first floor, there are two restaurants, one of which is self-service. Shopping: The shopping area, La Corte, can be accessed from both floors; shops include a gift shop, a bookshop and newsagents, a food and wine shop, a sports shop, a leather goods shop, various clothing and footwear retailers and a shop selling optical goods and photographic supplies. There is also a tax-free shop in Departures and a tax refund facility is available. Other facilities: These include first aid facilities, a hairdressers and a nursery on the ground floor. On the first floor, there is a children's play area. Disabled facilities: The airport is equipped with disabled toilets and lifts; there are ramps inside and outside the terminal. TDD's are provided for the hearing impaired. There is an information desk at the Arrivals hall exit (tel: (0)50 500 707) which can provide information on flights; phone cards, rail and bus tickets and flight insurance can also be bought here.
